Panama City Beach Police have released the names of the two bodies they found earlier this month.
Police say they are still working to determine the cause of death of the woman found off Hutchison Boulevard.
Beach investigators have identified the victim as 53-year-old Amy Sue Green.
Originally, it was reported that a pedestrian found Green’s body around 11:00 in the morning on May 1st. Police Chief JR Talmantez now says an officer on foot patrol found Green’s body. Green’s body was lying in the woods off Middle Beach Road, just west of the Saltwater Grill restaurant.
Talmantez says her body was in a state of decomposition. Authorities believe she was last seen on April 22nd.
Authorities found a second body in a wooded area near the entrance to Wild Heron, a gated community off Back Beach Road.
The body that was discovered on Monday, May 6th has been identified as 57-year-old David Mclure
Police originally said they did not suspect foul play.
The medical examiner’s autopsy confirmed that, finding he died from natural causes.
