Parrish man dead after two-vehicle crash in Charlotte County

A deadly crash closed lanes in both directions of Bermont Road, between Paradise Park and Eugene Avenue, in Charlotte County Wednesday morning.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Florida Highway Patrol, responded to the scene around 3:15 a.m.

Florida troopers said a 20-year-old Parrish man was driving west on Bermont Rd as a 28-year-old Davie man was driving east.

The Parrish man reportedly crossed the centerline and entered the path of the other driver, striking the car head-on.

Troopers said the Parrish man was pronounced dead on the scene. The victim’s identity and the cause of the crash have not been identified at this time.

FHP said this investigation is ongoing.
