Pedestrian dead and 1 injured after Lee County crash

A Lehigh Acres man is dead and a woman is seriously injured after a crash in Lee County on Sunday.

The Florida Highway Patrol states a woman was driving a sedan along Lee Boulevard near Xelda Avenue around 12:10 a.m.

Two pedestrians were trying to cross the travel lanes when the car crashed into them.

FHP states the 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 37-year-old woman was seriously injured.

This crash remains under investigation.
