Pedestrian dies after being struck by driver who kept on going

A man died late Friday night after being struck by a vehicle while he was lying in the road.

The driver involved in the collision did not stay on the scene, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) did not include any information about the vehicle.

In the report, PBSO did not indicate why the pedestrian, who was identified as J F G-P of Jupiter Farms, was lying in the roadway.

PBSO stated deputies responded shortly before midnight to the 14000 block of Indiantown Road, about a mile and a half from G-P’s home, where they found the man’s body in the westbound lanes.

They determined the vehicle was heading west when it struck G-P, 57, and it kept going, headed in the same direction.
