Pickup truck catches fire along Alico Road in south Fort Myers

San Carlos Park firefighters extinguished a pickup truck that caught fire along Alico Road in south Fort Myers early Saturday morning.

According to the San Carlos Park Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle fire along Alico Road and Quaker Lane around 2 a.m.

When firefighters arrived on-scene the pickup truck was heavily engulfed in flames, which crews quickly extinguished.

The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of arrival and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, but not suspicious in nature, SCPFD says.
