Pinellas DUI driver found passed out behind wheel with children in car: police

A suspected DUI driver was found passed out behind the wheel in downtown St. Petersburg with two young children in the car, according to an arrest report.

St. Pete police found Lucaya Barlow, 37, unconscious with the car still in gear while stopped at a traffic light on Saturday.

Officers reported the car previously struck a flexible parking barrier, which was wedged under the vehicle.

Barlow showed signs of impairment and a breath alcohol test came back with a 0.145 result, according to police. Two young children were discovered in the backseat of the vehicle, unharmed.

Barlow was charged with driving under the influence and neglect of a child without great bodily harm.
