Plant City recycle warehouse catches fire, crews still investigating

A recycling facility in Plant City caught fire on Thursday, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

Fire crews were dispatched to the NuCycle Energy warehouse, located on South County Line Road in Plant City, to assist Plant City Fire Rescue with the “rapidly escalating” fire.

A large cardboard recycling facility was found engulfed in heavy smoke, with debris on fire.

Due to the extent of the fire, the response was upgraded to a two-alarm fire.

The fire remains under investigation.
