Police: 1 injured following crash involving personal watercrafts in North Bay Village

Officials said they responded to an accident involving a personal watercraft that left at least one person injured.

It happened late Monday afternoon in the waters off North Bay Village.

Officers have since put out a BOLO (be on the lookout) for someone on a personal watercraft that was possibly involved in a hit-and-run that put one person in the hospital.

Sky 10 flew over the scene and observed an unmanned personal watercraft in the water from above.

The victim was brought back to shore and loaded onto an ambulance which rushed them to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Agents with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission were also observed entering the hospital.

There has been no update on the victim’s health status.

Authorities have not released any additional information.
