Authorities in Broward County rushed to the scene of a fatal drive-by shooting that occurred on Monday night.
It happened just before 8 p.m. near the 700 block of Northwest 10th Terrace in Fort Lauderdale.
According to police, a total of six people were shot, including a child.
The child’s relatives told Local 10 News that the boy is 2-year-old. They said the child was in his mother’s arms when a gunman sprayed the area outside of a convenience store. The child was grazed by a bullet and his mother was shot in the head, they said.
According to relatives, the mother ran into the store where she collapsed and died.
Police confirmed a woman died at the scene and a man died at Broward Health Medical Center.
The surviving victims were also rushed to a Broward Health Medical Center for treatment, police said.
Police confirmed that no suspects are in custody.
