A woman was stabbed, and the suspect is on the run while police swarm a house in Fort Myers on Monday night.
Police responded to the stabbing incident at around 10:30 p.m. on Second Street, located near the Fort Myers Cemetery.
According to the Fort Myers Police Department, a female was found with minor injuries after being stabbed. She has since received treatment; however, her condition remains unknown.
Police said the victim refused to be transported to a hospital.
The FMPD Public Information Officer told WINK News that an altercation between several known subjects led up to the stabbing incident
FMPD stated that they have a suspect in mind; however, that information has yet to become public.
The home is cleared; however, the suspect has not been found.
The cause of the stabbing is under investigation.
