Police officers found an 18-year-old woman from Opa-locka dead in a gray 2014 BMW 328i on Saturday night in Miami-Dade County’s Gladeview area.
According to Detective Angel Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department, police officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert shortly before 11:10 p.m., near Northwest 65 Street and 20 Avenue.
Local 10 News sources familiar with the case identified the victim as Shakeria Denise Williams, who was shot in the head and back in an area where there were 17 10mm spent bullet casings and two projectiles.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel pronounced Williams dead. Homicide detectives with the Street Violence Task Force North suspect Williams got into an argument with a man before he shot her and fled in a Mercedes-Benz.
Miami-Dade detectives were investigating the fatal shooting. They asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
Correction: The shooting was not in southwest Miami-Dade County’s West Park area. It was in northwest Miami-Dade’s Gladeview area.
