Police: Woman uses hammer to injure man in Miami-Dade

A man was hospitalized on Saturday after a woman used a hammer to hit him during a dispute in Miami-Dade County’s Pinewood neighborhood, police said.

Police officers responded at about 2:10 p.m., at 11440 NW 7 Ave. According to Detective Angel Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department, they found a man who had suffered serious injuries.

According to Rodriguez, the woman fled and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel took the man to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he remained Saturday afternoon.
