A Bradenton man trying to walk across Tamiami Trail is now dead, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
It happened a little after 10:30 last night.
A Sarasota man in his sedan was driving down Tamiami, heading south, when a 45-year-old man from Bradenton walked in front of his car. Troopers say the pedestrian died at the scene, and his next of kin were notified.
