A man accused of shooting his own father today inside of a Walgreens store in Jacksonville.
This is new video from that scene on Dunn Avenue near I-95.
According to police, the man and his father got into a fight inside the store.
Then a gun was fired.
The father was taken to the hospital.
He’s expected to survive.
We spoke with our crime and safety analyst Ken Jefferson about what you can do in situations like this.
If you see someone arguing, don’t go and try to break it up.
Don’t do it.
Don’t try to get between them.
Get as far away from them as we can, because you never know what’s going to happen.
Try to get away as much as you can because you don’t know if that person is angry with just that person or is angry with everybody in the room.
Now, right now, it is not clear whether the suspect was arrested.
