A Sunny Isles Beach man with a tattoo of a target on his cheek is facing multiple charges after police said his girlfriend accused him of nearly a year of physical abuse, threats and intimidation.
Authorities say the victim presented a trove of evidence, including dozens of photos and videos, to substantiate her claims of violence.
The victim, whose name has not been released, told investigators she had been dating 26-year-old F I D Jr. for over a year and living with him for several months, according to the report.
During that time, she endured what she described as “physical abuse” from D at different times throughout their relationship, police said.
D’s arrest report stated that the victim documented her injuries with approximately 90 photos and videos, capturing bruises, lacerations, and other visible signs of harm.
Allegations of Sustained Violence
According to detectives with the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department, the victim provided a timeline of incidents dating back to October 2023. These include several episodes of violent outbursts, physical attacks, and threats with weapons.
- Oct. 16, 2023: The victim said the D struck her multiple times, leaving bruises on her arm and shoulder.
- Nov. 27, 2023: The victim claimed D punched her in the face, resulting in a black eye.
- Jan. 21, 2024: During an altercation, the victim clamed D reportedly wielded a knife and slashed her wrist while she tried to shield herself, causing a one-inch laceration.
- Feb. 4, 2024: In what police described as one of the most harrowing incidents, D allegedly pointed a handgun at her multiple times while driving, threatened to kill her, punched her repeatedly, and stole $25 from her purse.
- Aug. 30, 2024: D allegedly struck the victim in the face, leaving redness and swelling.
On Dec. 19, 2023, the victim said D threw her to the ground, punched and kicked her, and stomped on the back of her head, according to police.
During a sworn statement, police said the victim described living in constant fear of Mixon.
The victim claimed the abuse often left her visibly injured, with black eyes, bruises, and cuts, but she refrained from seeking help out of fear of retaliation, the report stated.
Police said D’s acts of violence were not limited to physical attacks. He reportedly used intimidation tactics to control the victim, including pointing guns at her and issuing death threats.
Evidence Leads to Arrest
Sunny Isles Beach police launched an investigation after they said the victim came forward with her evidence. A probable cause warrant was issued, and D was located and detained by Miami police.
Police said D was arrested without incident and transported to the SIBPD for questioning. He was later booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Jail records show he is facing eight counts of battery and one count each of armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a firearm.
As of Tuesday, D remains at TGK, where his bond was listed as “to be set.”
