A tanker truck overturned Thursday morning at Miami International Airport, spilling fuel near one of the runways.

Sky 10 was above the scene in the 4200 block of Northwest 21st Street as Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews surrounded the tanker and placed orange cones around it.

According to first responders, “fire crews were able to significantly reduce the amount of fuel that was leaking and disconnect ignition sources on the vehicle.”

MDFR officials said hazmat crews are working to contain the fuel spill, and DERM has been notified.
