Truck crashes into Port St. Lucie home, driver hospitalized

A truck crashed into a garage at a home in Port St. Lucie, leading to the driver being hospitalized and prompting a response from firefighters.

The St. Lucie County Fire District (SLCFD) stated that at 6:50 a.m. on Tuesday morning they had responded to a home in the 1500 block of southwest Hunnicut Avenue.

According to SLCFD their Special Operations teams secured the structure to make sure there were no more emergencies.

Officials stated that the driver was transported to a hospital, and the Red Cross assisted those inside the home.
