A two-car accident on Highway 98 has left one person dead, according to officials with the Panama City Police Department.
Authorities say they responded to the scene on the 2700 block of Highway 98 on July 5. A truck traveling westbound reportedly crossed over the center lane into eastbound traffic, colliding with a sedan.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. However, the driver of the sedan, 34-year-old Damien Kerr, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Panama City Police Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
