Two struck and killed in hit-and-run in Vero Beach

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run that killed two pedestrians.

According to the Indian River County sheriff, a driver hit the pedestrians at the intersection of 45th Street and Woodland Circle.

Officers found and arrested the driver fleeing at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Oslo Road.

The sheriff said the crash site will experience road closures for the next few hours.
