Multiple people were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a Clearwater police vehicle that was stopped helping a disabled vehicle.
According to Rob Shaw, the Clearwater Police spokesperson, the officer was stopped to help around 11 p.m. Thursday when another car crashed into his police vehicle on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.
Shaw said multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, and numerous people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries including the officer.
