WATCH: Jeep slams into car parked outside Winter Haven home, drives away

Winter Haven police are searching for the driver who slammed their Jeep into a parked car and then drove away.

The incident, which happened the night of December 5 along Lake Smart Circle, was caught on security camera video.

Police described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored, late-model Jeep Gladiator with large wheels, a possibly lifted suspension and color-changing neon lights beneath the frame.

Security camera footage showed the Jeep speeding down the residential street before colliding with a sedan head-on. The impact pushed the sedan several feet away onto a lawn.

The Jeep is then shown reversing and driving away from the site of the crash.

Winter Haven police said the sedan’s owner is a young mother who is now without transportation for her family, as the car was heavily damaged.

Anyone who recognizes the Jeep or has information about its owner is asked to contact Officer Eric Womack at 863-232-7159 or call the Winter Haven Police Department at 863-401-2256.
