A woman was struck and killed late Monday when she was struck by a marked Orlando police vehicle in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal wreck was reported at 11:33 p.m. on John Young Parkway at Vision Boulevard near the Orange County jail.
The FHP said the woman, who has not been identified by authorities, was walking across JYP and was not in a crosswalk when she was struck by a Ford Explorer, a marked OPD cruiser, driven by a 29-year-old Orlando man.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, the FHP said.
The driver was not injured.
No other details have been released.
