A woman was taken to the hospital Monday after authorities say she drove her vehicle into a pond in Carrollwood on Sunday night.
On Monday morning, the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a crash near the intersection of Himes Avenue and Busch Boulevard and found a vehicle submerged in the water and a woman standing near the pond.
The woman told authorities she drove the vehicle into the water at about 10 p.m. Sunday night.
She was taken to the hospital, but the extent of her injuries is unknown.
Authorities said the incident remains under investigation.
