A 22-year-old South Florida woman was killed and two others injured, including an infant, in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 12:45 p.m. on Interstate 95 at mile marker 202 in Cocoa.
According to a crash report, a Toyota Camry – being driven by a 23-year-old North Lauderdale man – was traveling north on I-95 lost control and ran off of the roadway.
The vehicle then crashed into a utility pole and overturned several times, according to the FHP.
Troopers said the front passenger, only identified as an adult woman, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Two rear passengers, including a baby, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but the baby was listed as stable in a later update.
According to the report, the driver and the right rear passenger were not injured. All occupants of the vehicle were from North Lauderdale, according to the report.
The crash remains under investigation.
