A woman’s body was found floating in a South Florida canal on Memorial Day, according to NBC affiliate WTVJ.
Officers with the North Miami Beach Police on patrol in the area told NBC6 they were flagged down by a group on Monday at the Snake Creek Canal.
In the water was a woman’s body, floating south down the canal. Police said they used a floating device to get the body.
The video shows officials blocking off the area before pulling the victim from the canal and taking a water sample for further investigation.
WTVJ reported that police are treating this incident as a death investigation. They reported no signs of foul play.
