PCSO investigating deputy-involved shooting in Hudson

Royal Caribbean worker arrested at Port Everglades for child sexual abuse material, authorities say

A Royal Caribbean crew member was arrested Wednesday after federal agents said they found child pornography material on his phone after he disembarked at Port Everglades. According to court documents released Thursday, federal agents with the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force searched the phone of 35-year-old Zin Naing Htun, a Myanmar national, after he got off the ship on Wednesday. Authorities said during a search of Htun’s cellphone, they located two videos depicting child sexual abuse material.

 A Fort Walton Beach, Florida, man was killed in a crash on I-22 Wednesday morning, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports. The Florida Highway Patrol says one person is dead after an SUV collided head-on with a car hauler on SR-31 in Charlotte County. FHP troopers responded to the crash near Babcock Ranch on Wednesday at approximately 11:37 a.m. According to FHP, an SUV was headed north on SR-31, south of Suzan Drive. At around 10:58 a.m., the SUV drove into the road’s southbound lane before crashing head-on with a car hauler. The SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his early 20s was stabbed early Thursday morning during an altercation inside an apartment on University Boulevard North in Arlington, Jacksonville police said. Sgt. 80-year-old woman dead after Englewood crash

An 80-year-old woman was killed after a crash in Englewood Wednesday afternoon. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a sedan was headed south on Pine Street, south of 5th Street. At around 1:13 p.m., the sedan was driving in the right lane and tried to make a U-turn across traffic. An SUV in the left lane reportedly crashed into the sedan. The sedan driver was critically injured and taken to a local hospital. She was later pronounced dead, FHP said.
