
St. Lucie County plane crash kills one and leaves another injured.
A person was killed Saturday afternoon after a plane crashed at the Treasure Coast International Airport. St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office started receiving 911 calls around 1:21 p.m. regarding the crash. When deputies and the St. Lucie County Fire District arrived at the airport they found two people trapped inside a twin-engine Piper PA-44 aircraft. One victim died at the scene due to their injuries. The other victim was transported to a local hospital. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB)
