Ocoee Police Department is investigating a parking lot shooting after a victim was found with gunshot wounds on Wednesday. According to OPD, officers responded to a shooting in a parking lot located at 1560 Silver Star Road in Ocoee at around 1:22 p.m. When they arrived, they found a person lying on the ground and unresponsive to gunshots. Ocoee firefighters and paramedics rendered first aid, and the victim was taken by chopper to a local hospital in critical condition. Witnesses

An Osceola County crash on Wednesday left one person dead and another person injured, according to Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said two motorcycles were in a crash near Hickory Tree Road and Chaplin Road just after 5:45 p.m. One of the motorcycles hit the other after losing control and struck both a fence and a tree. A house fire was reported at 484 Ford Drive in Altamonte Springs Thursday morning. The Seminole County Fire Department said the fire started in a back bedroom and that it was contained to about 30% of the home. All occupants made it out of the home safe and without injury. A 24-year-old Winter Haven man died in a crash with a parked pickup truck early Wednesday in Polk County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Interlochen Boulevard as the man traveled north in a Ford Mustang, troopers said. Four people were hurt during a shooting Tuesday afternoon near Armature Works in Tampa, according to Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw. He said officers responded just after 4 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the area of the 1900 block of North Ola Avenue. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a teenage boy is recovering after he was shot accidentally on Manotak Point Drive. Detectives said that at around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a local hospital after the teen arrived with non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a birdshot.
