A 22-year-old man is facing a hate crime charge after authorities say he targeted a man on South Beach in a homophobic attack Wednesday. Boy apparently struck and killed by lightning while riding bike in Pembroke Pines

A 16-year-old boy died after he was apparently struck by lightning while riding a bicycle in Pembroke Pines, police said. The incident happened Wednesday in the area of Southwest 67th Avenue and Southwest 6th Street. Illegal immigrant charged for shooting in Santa Rosa Beach, no injuries reported

An illegal immigrant from Mexico was arrested for discharging a firearm from a vehicle in Santa Rosa Beach on Wednesday. The Walton County Sheriff’s Office was called to the area of Bella Boulevard following a call regarding a shooting in the area. According to a witness, 29-year-old Jose Cruz Michua was stopped in a pickup truck in front of an address where they were working.
