 Miami police have made another arrest in connection with a kidnapping that ended in a shooting on the Julia Tuttle Causeway in September. Police took Kelly James Perpall into custody Tuesday on charges of attempted murder, armed kidnapping and home invasion robbery with a deadly weapon. Putnam County toddler seriously injured in dog attack

 A 2-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in serious condition after being mauled by a family dog in Putnam County on Tuesday. The attack happened Tuesday at a home on South Street in Melrose. According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the owners of a 5-year-old dog named “Blueberry” told deputies the toddler was playing with the dog before the child was attacked. Prosecutors seek death penalty against man accused of stabbing, killing 13-year-old girl in Orange County

The state is seeking the death penalty against a man accused of stabbing a 13-year-old girl to death on the Fourth of July. Jerry Dorisme was indicted by a grand jury in August on charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping with intent to inflict bodily harm or terrorize, sexual battery, and attempted sexual battery in the death of Rose Diejuste.
