Bradenton man attempting to fix his bike dies after being hit by truck: FHP

Eastbound lanes of 3rd Street West in Bradenton are now open after a fatal crash. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash Friday around 1:22 a.m. at 3rd Street West and 53rd Avenue West in Bradenton. According to FHP, a 30-year-old Bradenton man was stopped in the inside lane and was attempting to fix his bicycle when he was struck by a 2019 Ram 5500 Truck. The driver of the Ram, a 59-year-old man from Dover, was not injured.
