Hyde Park Cafe catches fire, causing road closures and delays in South Tampa

Tampa Fire Rescue worked to put out a blaze Wednesday afternoon at the Hyde Park Cafe. Crews responded to the South Tampa bar and restaurant just after 3:30 p.m. to find heavy smoke coming from the roof of the building.  They used several hose lines for an interior attack on the fire and an aerial ladder truck to access the roof.  A fire broke out at a residential home near University early Tuesday, according to Orange County Fire Rescue. Dispatch received multiple 911 calls around 5 a.m. about flames coming from a home in the 11100 block of Pinewood Cove Lane, a fire department spokesperson said in a statement. Troopers investigate deadly crash on Rio Grande Avenue in Orlando

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Orange County. It happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday on South Rio Grande Avenue and Indiana Street in Orlando.
