A man is facing charges after deputies say he fled the scene of a fatal crash in Keysville. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 7:45 p.m. April 11 on Old Hopewell Road near Henry George Road. When deputies arrived, they found two people who had been ejected from a motorcycle. Giovany Negron Talavera, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene. State troopers are investigating a crash in Putnam County that killed a man and badly injured a woman. FHP officials say the man and woman, both 66 years old, were on a motorcycle in the Crescent City area when a sedan hit them a little before noon. This happened at the intersection of County Road 308 and Union Avenue. The man died in the hospital, the woman is listed in critical condition with traumatic injuries. Florida Highway Patrol says a 30-year-old man is dead after a head-on crash late Saturday night. Troopers say the man, of Jacksonville, was traveling east in the westbound lane along Northeast 53rd Terrace just after 11:30, when an approaching vehicle, coming from the opposite direction, hit it head on. A family of five is without a home after their mobile home was burned on Sunday morning. 9-1-1 callers reported pillars of black smoke coming from the home along Southwest 156th Place on Sunday. A 33-year-old man was arrested Sunday in connection with a domestic violence stabbing that occurred in Homestead, police confirmed.
