A pedestrian was pronounced dead after being struck by a car just before 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies responded to the intersection of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and North 43rd Street after receiving a 911 call about the collision. Responding deputies found the victim unresponsive.
