PCSO: 4 people hurt in Dade City shooting after argument amongst neighbors

Four people were hurt after a shooting occurred Wednesday night in Dade City, authorities said. At around 7:20 p.m., neighbors who knew each other got into an argument in the Starline Drive area, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) said in a news release. Patients evacuated due to fire at Mercy Hospital

Patients were evacuated after fires broke out at Mercy Hospital in Miami on Wednesday night, fire officials said. There were two fires on one floor that were extinguished by the building’s sprinklers, according to Lt. Pete Sanchez of City of Miami Fire Rescue. Firefighters were at the hospital working on the smoke on the floors. Hospital officials said the fire was contained to one area. All patients and personnel were evacuated and no one was injured or transported, officials said.

FHP: Arcadia man convicted after driving 110 mph, causing fatal crash

Mason Gregory Jeter, of Arcadia, has been convicted of Vehicular Homicide, following a two-day jury trial in Charlotte County. Jeter was arrested in December of 2023 for a fatal crash that occurred on Sept. 21, 2023.
