A 4-year-old was shot in Middleburg Wednesday, according to a press release from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. CCSO says the child was able to get a parent’s gun and accidentally fired the gun. Police were called to a home in the 2400 block of Clover Avenue in Middleburg at 12:19 p.m. They were told the 4-year-old had been shot. A man has been arrested after allegedly tossing his bicycle and shouting at pedestrians last week in Naples. According to the Naples Police Department, officers responded to 5th Ave. South on Friday about a disorderly man who was yelling at pedestrians. A woman called about the suspect, 32-year-old Stephen Agee, who reportedly followed and harassed her on 5th Avenue while also throwing his bike and acting erratic. A woman faces 38 counts of animal cruelty after authorities said they discovered an alleged puppy mill in Merritt Island. Many of the dogs found were severely ill, according to deputies. A scammer was arrested after he targeted a 74-year-old Marion County woman for her life savings, convincing her to liquidate her cash into gold on Wednesday, Ocala police said.  When they contacted the woman, the scammers posed as a call center, alleging she had a computer virus that could help her fix. The man charged with stabbing his ex-girlfriend 17 times outside a Ponte Vedra Beach restaurant a little over a year ago pleaded guilty Wednesday to three of the counts he faced. Spencer Pearson was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder with a weapon for the stabbing of then-17-year-old Madison Schemitz and her mother and aggravated battery causing serious injury with a weapon. A United Airlines flight that took off from South Florida was forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger bit a flight attendant and yelled profanities at other passengers. Miami Beach Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left one dead and another injured. The traffic crash occurred at 63rd Street and Alton Road around 2:53 a.m. Wednesday. Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration said an unregistered powered paraglider crashed near Grant-Valkaria, Florida, around 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
