Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are searching for the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian over the weekend in Pompano Beach. According to BSO spokeswoman M G, the hit-and-run crash was reported at about 5:55 a.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of West Atlantic Boulevard. A pickup truck driver is dead after colliding with a semi-truck near the intersection of SR-70 and CR-721, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. First responders and Tampa Bay Harbor pilots rescued three people from the water after their boat capsized Saturday evening. It happened as the sun was setting near Gadsden Point. “The water is 64 degrees here. Hypothermia can set in very quickly.
