Two members of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department were hospitalized Tuesday with minor injuries that they suffered while battling a house fire. The fire was reported around 5:30 a.m. at a one-story home on Percy Creek Drive in the Northlake area of Jacksonville’s Northside. Three people were found dead after an airboat capsized near the Kissimmee River on Monday, officials said. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said a total of seven people were on the airboat when the incident happened. One person was killed Monday after a small plane crashed in a remote part of Polk County. Sheriff Grady Judd said the plane went down around 8 p.m. in a cow pasture about a mile off Moore Road. According to the Sarasota Police Department, the crash happened near the intersection of Nancy Street and Euclid Avenue. Investigators say the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, failed to make a turn and drove into a ditch. After the crash, the driver was able to get out of the vehicle.
