Crash involving mail truck on 103rd Street kills postal worker, injures 2 others.

Phot by: first coast news. A deadly crash involving a mail truck shut down 103rd and Lambing Road Tuesday afternoon. The Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department confirmed that one person was killed in the crash. A report from Florida Highway Patrol identified the person killed a 40-year-old postal worker.  The mail truck was overturned in the accident.  The report says two other cars were involved. Multiple RVs destroyed in early morning fire at dealership in Dover

According to the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, the fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. at Blue Compass RV at 4656 McIntosh Road in Dover. A driver on I-4 saw the fire from afar and called 911. Bicyclist killed in early-morning St. Pete crash.

Photo by: fox 13 news A bicyclist was killed in a crash in St. Petersburg early Tuesday morning, according to police.  Officers with the St. Petersburg Police Department responded to the intersection of 5th Avenue North and 49th Street North at around 6:11 a.m. for a crash.  The bicyclist, a man in his 60s, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said his next of kin have not been notified.  Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

Police respond to body on US-27 near Krome Avenue; road shut down as investigation unfolds.

Miramar Police responded to reports of a body on the road, leading to closures on US-27 as authorities investigate. Around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, live video footage showed heavy traffic on the highway on the northbound lanes of US- 27 about half a mile north of Krome Avenue as authorities closed the road to investigate. One pedestrian is dead after being struck during a collision in Alachua County on Tuesday. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 68-year-old man was walking in CR 232 on the eastbound lane around 1 a.m. when a tractor-trailer driver was traveling east on CR 232. One of Collier County’s Commissioners is now out on bond in a battery case. Last week Commissioner Ricky LoCastro vehemently denied the allegations of domestic violence against him, after the State Attorney’s Office in Monroe County issued a warrant for his arrest. One person died after someone shot into a vehicle during a disagreement between two groups Monday, Riviera Beach police said. At 5 p.m., police responded to the incident at 1000 W. A woman who was struck and killed while trying to help victims of a crash on Interstate 95 in Broward County over the weekend has been identified as an EMT.
