A Florida woman has been accused of trying to kill her husband after he was sent a postcard from a woman he dated 60 years ago. Bertha Yalter, 71, was arrested after police arrived on the scene in the Eastern Shores neighborhood of North Miami Beach to find her husband in an “extremely fragile” state and with “several serious bruises and open lacerations…as well as open bite marks that were bleeding,” according to an arrest report obtained by WTVJ. A Boca Raton woman is dead after her car ended up in a community lake. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, on January 26, a 71-year-old woman ended up driving through bushes before going into a lake. The car floated for a bit, until eventually sinking. Two people are dead after an accident in North Highlands Sunday afternoon. The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District confirmed the fatalities with ABC10. The collision was reported in the area of Andrea Boulevard and Elkhorn Boulevard in North Highlands around 3:30 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, a man in his 30s driving a Honda and a woman in her 30s driving a Nissan were driving eastbound along Elkhorn Boulevard when the Honda made an unsafe lane change and hit the Nissan.
