Pedestrian hit by truck during deadly Citrus County crash: Florida Highway Patrol

A 36-year-old Homosassa man died after being hit by a truck on Saturday night, according to officials. The crash occurred around 1:43 p.m. in the area of mile marker 161, near Sebastian, troopers said. According to a preliminary FHP crash report, the crash involved a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2021 Toyota Corolla. Florida woman, 71, shot man to death because ‘he did not clean up,’ police say

A 71-year-old Florida woman was arrested on allegations of shooting and killing a man because “he did not clean up after himself,” police said. Patricia Whitehead was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting, which happened around 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Ybor Heights.
