One person was killed in a crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist in Charlotte County Thursday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene on Midway BOulevard, between U.S.-41 and Albury Drive, around 6:37 p.m. Troopers said a 30-year-old Port Charlotte woman was driving west on Midway Blvd. At the same time, troopers said a 65-year-old Port Charlotte man was crossing the road before entering the direct path of the oncoming car.
