A man was shot and killed on Interstate 95 in Broward County Sunday night, authorities said. The Broward Sheriff’s Office said the shots were fired at around 6:13 p.m. on I-95 southbound, north of Oakland Park Boulevard. The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO) reported that around 6 p.m., deputies received reports of an accident involving a Brightline train and a pedestrian at the 8th Street railroad crossing. An argument between two left one dead, three pedestrians injured, and three officers wounded, the Tampa Police Department announced. According to TPD, officers responded to a series of events involving a dangerous person around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. A fire broke out at a Fort Myers home on Sunday. According to the fire department, the homeowner just bought the property early this week. The Fort Myers Fire Department and Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District responded to a two-story structure fire. Crews say the fire started in the kitchen, and when they arrived, they found flames and heavy smoke. The flames were quickly put out, and no one was found inside the home. No injuries were reported.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a domestic shooting in the South Gulf Cove neighborhood. The sheriff’s office states the incident happened on Holtville Avenue and Antrim Street. CCSO has not said if anyone was injured or arrested, but all parties are accounted for. photo by: wfla A dog died after a home caught fire on Sunday, according to Hernando County Fire Rescue. Around 3:30 p.m., rescuers were called to the 1500 block of Virginia Lee Circle. On arrival, they said that they found the fire in the kitchen and pantry area of the home. No one was home at the time but rescuers did discover a dog inside. Efforts were made to resuscitate the dog but, according to HCFR, it died shortly after.

A late-morning crash killed 90-year-old passenger ST three months after being hit by a 2024 Lexus-ES350. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the Lexus decided to turn left into a plaza veering into the right of way of 56-year-old RR’s 2025 Toyota Camry which was driving northbound. This all happened on Nov. 5 at 11:30 a.m. off of Jog Road, north of Lake Ida Road. The Lexus driver, 83-year-old RS and passenger, 81-year-old DS, didn’t sustain any injuries.

Firefighters rushed to a Lauderdale Lakes apartment building on Sunday afternoon. The building is located along the 4500 block of Northwest 36th Street. According to authorities, a fire broke out inside a third floor apartment of the four-story building. The fire has since been extinguished, authorities said. No injuries were reported.
