Fire in FPL electrical vault causes power to be shut down for hundreds of customers in Naples

Photo by: ucbn drone Naples Fire crews worked to extinguish flames that sparked inside a Florida Power and Light vault along Gulfshore Boulevard North Monday night. According to the Naples Fire-Rescue District, FPL shut off power starting with the intersection of Pine Ridge Road and US-41 and everything south of that intersection. FPL’s power tracker map shows 318 customers have been affected in the Moorings area as of 10:27 p.m. More than 500 customers are still without power as of 5a.m.
