A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a vehicle crash in Escambia County on Wednesday evening. According to the county, the crash occurred at North W Street and Beverly Parkway at approximately 5:30 p.m. Florida Highway Patrol says the victim, from Mobile, was riding his Harley motorcycle on North W heading towards Pine Forest Road. Troopers said the dump truck was backing east on Bella Mar Trail, east of Diamond Reef Drive, when the pedestrian was helping guide the vehicle as it backed up to unload. The pedestrian tripped and fell and was run over by the truck’s right-side tires, FHP said. Manatee County EMS pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
