A school bus struck and killed a cow Wednesday in Manatee County, according to the school district. No students or the driver were injured in the crash, the district said. An elderly woman suffered a head injury in a golf cart crash Wednesday on the Brownwood Bridge in The Villages. The woman was traveling in the golf cart shortly before noon Wednesday on the bridge over State Road 44 at Brownwood when the crash occurred, according to The Villages Public Safety Department. Two people were killed Thursday night in a fiery single-vehicle crash in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
