Police are searching for a suspect or suspects after a nine-year-old boy was killed Saturday night during a shooting in Florida City, in south Miami-Dade, police said. The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. at the South Point Apartments on West Lucy Street. When Florida City police officers arrived at the scene, they found a nine-year-old boy unresponsive. Four people and a dog were rescued after a fire at an apartment Saturday in Hialeah, fire officials said. Hialeah Fire crews responded to the fire at 460 East 23rd Street. Hialeah Police officers helped rescue a victim and started CPR on them, and brought down some of the fire with an extinguisher, fire officials said. A 21-year-old man was killed and a 17-year-old was injured in a shooting at an apartment complex in Camden County on Saturday. A hit-and-run driver who left a teen bicyclist dead is wanted by the Florida Highway Patrol. Around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, a driver in an 2011-2014 model red Dodge Charger with silver rim was traveling eastbound on SR-674. Just west of 4th Street, the driver collided with a 19-year-old Guatemalan person on a bike, who was also traveling eastbound on SR-674.  A man was left critically injured in what Clearwater police believe to be a drug-related shooting on Saturday night. The 52-year-old victim was found shot with life-threatening injuries at around 11 p.m. in the 900 block of Vine Avenue in Clearwater. A deputy was injured in a crash early Sunday while helping with traffic control along I-75 near Exit 123 in Estero. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were assisting the Florida Highway Patrol with traffic control on I-75 when the crash occurred.
