Four Tampa residents have been arrested after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from a Naples Ulta Beauty store and then leading deputies on a chase. At about 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Collier County deputies responded to a theft report at the Ulta at 2334 Pine Ridge Road. According to store employees, they caught the four suspects shoplifting. The suspects then fled in a white Dodge Charger, making off with pricey perfume and other merchandise. Deputies found the suspect vehicle entering Mercato.

Miami-Dade police have arrested two men in connection with the gang rape of an 18-year-old woman. According to the suspects’ arrest reports, the crime occurred around 5:20 a.m. on May 25 in Miami-Dade County’s 33179 area code. Records show Deangelo Rene, 20, of Orlando, and Levar Reshun Holton, 20, of South Miami, face charges of armed/gang sexual battery and armed robbery. They were both taken into custody on Wednesday. Christopher Davis, who stands accused of killing his boyfriend Barry Schmalbach, is now in the Lee County Jail. The news of his extradition Thursday comes almost exactly five months since Cape Coral Police charged Davis with Schmalbach’s murder and issued an arrest warrant. Davis appeared in court at 10 a.m. on to be formally charged. A bond hearing was pushed until Friday. A man from southwest Miami-Dade was arrested Wednesday after police say he kidnapped his girlfriend and punched her as she made her drive him to Boynton Beach over a money dispute. Authorities said the victim was planning to pick up money from a friend in Boynton Beach when Yosmar Yzquierdo, 30, “forcefully” took her keys and demanded she take him with her. They then left from the 25000 block of Southwest 144th Court, in the county’s Naranja area, authorities said.

A crash along I-75 in Alachua County prompted multiple lanes to shut down Thursday afternoon, deputies said.  The crash shut down the I-75 southbound line near Newberry Road. All southbound traffic is being diverted off the interstate.  According to deputies, the crash involved four semi-trucks. Tampa Police detectives arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly sending inappropriate photos to a minor. Christopher Patrinostro, 19, was arrested after allegedly contacting a 16-year-old girl and sending her nude photos of herself and demanding more. A Florida mother has been sentenced to more than 21 life terms in prison after she was convicted of committing sex crimes against her own children. Natalie Wagner, 28, was given the sentence last week in a St. Lucie County courtroom. Wagner had been convicted on more than 80 criminal counts ranging from incest to transmitting child pornography.
