Several Broward County residents were left without power following a crash early Sunday morning. It happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the area of Northwest 50th Avenue and 12th Street in Lauderhill. Florida Power & Light reported that the outage impacted 19 of its customers, though power was estimated to be restored by 6:30 a.m. A pole appeared to be damaged from the crash that involved an SUV. A fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred in Plantation is under investigation. It happened Saturday just before 8 p.m. near the intersection of Northwest 31st Avenue and Broward Boulevard in Lauderhill. Police in Lakeland say a 61-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman are dead after what appears to be a murder-suicide Saturday. Police officers went to an apartment on Cleveland Heights Boulevard for a welfare check just before 4 p.m. on Friday. When they arrived they found the man and woman dead from gunshot wounds. One person has been airlifted after a major crash along the Palmetto Expressway early Monday morning prompted lane closures at Interstate 75. Aerial images from the scene showed a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue truck blocking traffic as an air rescue chopper landed on the road. A man was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on I-75 in Sarasota County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday evening, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers.
