A man was arrested over the weekend, exactly a week after a fatal hit-and-run crash in Pompano Beach, Local 10 learned Tuesday. Willian Eduardo Beltran Velasquez, 31, was arrested Sunday on charges of failing to stop at an accident involving death and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. Months after an 18-year-old woman was killed in a shooting in North Lauderdale, authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the killing. Tyler Mobley, 23, was arrested in Sunrise Monday on a first-degree murder charge in the shooting of Bryanna Nina, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said. Police in Orlando are investigating a death Tuesday at an apartment complex. Officers said the incident happened around 5:35 a.m. in the 5900 block of Peregrine Avenue. Police said they were called to the area for a reported fire, but when they arrived, there was no fire. Officers said they entered a residence and discovered an adult dead inside.  How did it happen? That’s the question investigators are working to answer after a surgeon at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast reportedly removed a man’s liver instead of his spleen. It happened back in August. The patient, William Bryan, died on the table. One woman told investigators from the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration she was trying not to cry while doing CPR on Bryan. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says all of Lenox Avenue north of Normandy Boulevard is shut down Tuesday morning due to “an accident with injuries.” The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department told First Coast News one person was taken to a local hospital in critical condition from the scene of the crash. A 21-year-old Belleview man is facing felony charges after claiming that he fired a gun multiple times while doing a DoorDash delivery because another vehicle allegedly cut him off on Baseline Road.  On Friday, October 18, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a business located in the 10500 block of SE 58th Avenue (Baseline Road) in reference to someone firing gunshots out of a Saturn SUV while traveling southbound on the roadway, according to the arrest report. Early Tuesday morning at about 1 a.m., two Volusia County residents were pronounced dead after their car spun out on I-10, according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
