Car bursts into flames after I-75 crash in Charlotte County
A driver escaped serious injury Tuesday morning when his car burst into flames after colliding with a semi on I-75 in Charlotte County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The 26-year-old man was driving a Toyota Corolla northbound in the right lane, just south of Tuckers Grade just before 5 a.m. The Toyota veered left, into a Volvo semitrailer in the center lane, investigators said. After colliding, the Toyota traveled off the roadway, entered the tree line and erupted into flames.
